Starting the gasoline saw engine

  1. When starting, the choke should be opened when the car is cold. The choke should not be used when the car is hot. At the same time, the manual oil pump should be pressed more than 5 times.
  2. Place the machine motor support and shackle on the ground and stabilize it in a safe position. If necessary, place the shackle at a higher position and remove the chain protection device. The chain cannot touch the ground or other objects.
  3. Choose a safe position to stand firm, use your left hand to press the machine on the ground at the fan casing, with your thumb under the fan casing. Do not step on the protective tube with your feet, nor kneel on the machine.
  4. First slowly pull out the starting rope until it stops pulling, then pull it out quickly and forcefully after it rebounds.
  5. If the carburetor is properly adjusted, the cutting tool chain cannot rotate in the idle position.
  6. When there is no load, the throttle should be moved to idle speed or small throttle position to prevent speeding; when working, the throttle should be increased.
  7. When all the oil in the tank is used up and refueled, press the manual oil pump at least 5 times before restarting.

How to trim branches with a gasoline saw1. When pruning, cut the lower opening first and then the upper opening to prevent the saw from being pinched.

  1. When cutting, the lower branches should be cut first. Heavy or large branches should be cut in sections.
  2. When operating, hold the operating handle with your right hand, hold the handle naturally with your left hand, and straighten your arm as much as possible. The angle between the machine and the ground cannot exceed 60°, but the angle cannot be too low, otherwise it will not be easy to operate.
  3. In order to avoid damaging the bark, machine rebound or saw chain being caught, when cutting thick branches, first saw an unloading cut on the lower side, that is, use the end of the guide plate to cut an arc-shaped cut.
  4. If the diameter of the branch exceeds 10 cm, pre-cut it first, make an unloading cut and a cutting cut about 20 to 30 cm from the desired cut, and then cut it here with a branch saw.

Use of gasoline saw

  1. Check the saw chain tension frequently, turn off the engine and wear protective gloves when checking and adjusting. The appropriate tension is when the chain is hung on the lower part of the guide plate and the chain can be pulled by hand.
  2. There must always be a little oil splatter on the chain. The saw chain lubrication and oil level in the lubricant tank must be checked every time before work. The chain must not work without lubrication. If you work with a dry chain, the cutting device will be damaged.

3. Never use old engine oil. Old engine oil cannot meet the lubrication requirements and is not suitable for chain lubrication.

  1. If the oil level in the tank does not drop, there may be a problem with the lubrication delivery. Chain lubrication should be checked and oil lines should be checked. A poor lubricant supply can also occur through a contaminated filter. The lubricating oil filter in the pipe connecting the oil tank to the pump should be cleaned or replaced.
  2. After replacing and installing a new chain, the saw chain requires 2 to 3 minutes of running-in time. Check chain tension after break-in and readjust if necessary. New chains require more frequent tensioning than chains that have been used for a while. In a cold state, the saw chain must stick to the lower part of the guide plate, but the saw chain can be moved on the upper guide plate by hand. If necessary, re-tension the chain. When reaching the operating temperature, the saw chain expands and sag slightly. The transmission joint at the lower part of the guide plate cannot come out of the chain groove, otherwise the chain will jump and the chain needs to be re-tensioned. 6. The chain must be loosened after work. The chain will shrink as it cools, and a chain that is not relaxed can damage the crankshaft and bearings. If the chain is tensioned during operation, the chain will shrink when cooled, and an overtightened chain will damage the crankshaft and bearings.
