How to use a chain saw

2024-02-21

1. There are generally two types of chain saws on the market. One is the 78 model. First fill the fuel tank with 25:1 gasoline engine oil. There is an oil pump on the right side of the carburetor. Press down until the gasoline flows out.

2. Then turn on the ignition switch, lock the throttle lock, and just pull it. This kind of chain saw does not need to open or close the air door.

3. The second type is a small chain saw that imitates imports. The ratio of gasoline to engine oil in this small chain saw is 15:1, and it is filled with oil.

4.Turn on the ignition switch, lock the throttle lock on the handlebar, pull out the air damper on the other side, pull it a few times and push the air door in when it feels like it is coming on, and then pull it up once or twice.

Don’t ignore details when using a chain saw

1. First of all, when starting the chain saw, do not pull the starting rope to the end. When starting, gently pull up the starting handle with your hand until it reaches the stop, then pull it quickly and hard while pressing down on the front handle. Technicians say it's important not to pull the starter cord all the way to the end, or you may break it.

2. After the engine has been running at maximum throttle for a long time, it needs to be idle for a period of time in order to cool the air flow and release most of the heat in the engine. This prevents thermal overloading of components installed on the engine (ignition device, carburetor).

3.If the engine power drops significantly, it may be caused by dirty air filter. Remove the carburetor tank cover, take out the air filter, clean the dirt around the filter, separate the two parts of the filter, dust the filter with your palms, or blow it clean from the inside out with compressed air.

How to use a chain saw:

1. First, start the chain saw. Remember not to pull the starting rope to the end, otherwise the rope will be broken. When starting, be careful to gently pull up the starting handle with your hand. After reaching the stop position, pull it up quickly with force, and at the same time press down on the front handle. Also be careful not to let the starting handle bounce back freely, but use your hand to control the speed and slowly guide it back into the casing so that the starting rope can be rolled up.

2. Secondly, after the engine has been running for a long time at maximum throttle, it should be allowed to idle for a period of time to cool the air flow and release most of the heat. Prevent components on the engine from being thermally overloaded and causing combustion.

4.Again, if the engine power drops significantly, it may be because the air filter is too dirty. Take out the air filter and clean the surrounding dirt. If the filter is stuck with dirt, you can place the filter in a special cleaner or wash it with cleaning fluid and then dry it. When installing the air filter after cleaning, check whether the parts are in the correct position.

How to use a chain saw?

The saw uses gasoline as fuel, and gasoline is a relatively dangerous fuel. You need to be careful when adding and using it. The principle when adding gasoline is to keep away from all fires and completely eliminate fire hazards.

Be sure to turn off the engine when refueling. The engine temperature will rise after use. Be sure to cool down the engine to room temperature before refueling. Refueling should be done as slowly as possible, and should not be overfilled. Make sure to tighten the fuel tank cap after refueling.

When starting a chain saw, you must follow the correct starting procedure. It is also emphasized here that the person operating the chain saw must receive sufficient training before using the chain saw. The chain saw can only be operated by one person. Whether starting or using the chain saw, make sure that there are no other people within the operating range.

Things to note when using a chain saw:

1. Check the tension of the saw chain frequently. Please turn off the engine and wear protective gloves when checking and adjusting. The appropriate tension is when the chain is hung on the lower part of the guide plate and the chain can be pulled by hand.

2. There must always be a little oil splashing on the chain. The saw chain lubrication and oil level in the lubricant tank must be checked every time before work. The chain will never work without lubrication. If you work with a dry chain, the cutting device will be damaged.

3. Never use old engine oil. Old engine oil cannot meet the lubrication requirements and is not suitable for chain lubrication.

4. If the oil level in the tank does not decrease, there may be a failure in the lubrication delivery. Chain lubrication should be checked and the oil line checked. A poor lubricant supply can also occur through a contaminated filter. The lubricating oil filter in the pipe connecting the oil tank to the pump should be cleaned or replaced.

5. After replacing and installing a new chain, the saw chain requires 2 to 3 minutes of running-in time. Check chain tension after break-in and readjust if necessary. New chains require more frequent tensioning than chains that have been used for a while. In a cold state, the saw chain must stick to the lower part of the guide plate, but the saw chain can be moved on the upper guide plate by hand. If necessary, re-tension the chain.

When reaching the operating temperature, the saw chain expands and sag slightly. The transmission joint at the lower part of the guide plate cannot come out of the chain groove, otherwise the chain will jump and the chain needs to be re-tensioned.

6.The chain must be loosened after work. The chain will shrink as it cools, and a chain that is not relaxed can damage the crankshaft and bearings. If the chain is tensioned during operation, the chain will shrink when cooled, and overtightening the chain will damage the crankshaft and bearings.

How to use a logging chain saw and what precautions you should take

A chain saw, also known as a "chain saw", has a saw chain as its sawing mechanism and a gasoline engine as its power part. It is easy to carry and operate. During use, please pay attention to the following points:

1. Before using the chain saw, you should add chain saw oil. The advantage of this is that it can provide lubrication for the chain saw, reduce the friction heat between the chain saw chain and the chain saw guide plate, and protect the guide plate. It can also protect the chain saw chain from premature scrapping.

2.If the chain saw stalls when refueling, does not work so vigorously, or the heater overheats, etc., it is usually a problem with the filter. Therefore, the filter needs to be inspected before work. A clean and qualified filter should be transparent and bright when viewed against the sun. Otherwise, it is unqualified. If the chain saw's filter is not clean enough, it should be washed with hot soapy water and dried. A clean filter can ensure the normal use of the chain saw.

3. When the saw teeth of the chain saw become less sharp, you can use a special file to rest the cutting teeth of the saw chain to ensure the sharpness of the saw teeth. At this time, it should be noted that when using a file to file, file in the direction of the cutting teeth and not in the opposite direction. At the same time, the angle between the file and the chain saw chain should not be too large, preferably 30 degrees.

4. After using the chain saw, you should also perform some maintenance on the chain saw, so that the work efficiency can be guaranteed the next time you use the chain saw. The first step is to remove impurities from the oil inlet hole at the root of the chain saw guide plate and the guide plate groove to ensure the smoothness of the oil inlet hole. Secondly, the inside of the guide plate head should also be cleared of debris and a few drops of engine oil should be added.

In addition, there is another point that needs to be noted. What are the adverse consequences of using four-stroke engine oil on a chain saw?

1. Can pull the cylinder

2.The cylinder liner and piston will be worn out

A cycle consists of four strokes, or the linear movement of a piston in a cylinder in one direction:

1. Intake stroke

2. Compression stroke

3. Power stroke

4.Exhaust stroke: Four-stroke engines are much more efficient than two-stroke engines.

Introduction to how to use a chain saw

1. Before use, you must read the chain saw manual carefully to understand the characteristics, technical performance and precautions of the chain saw.

2. Fill the fuel tank and engine oil tank with enough oil before use; adjust the tightness of the saw chain, not too loose or too tight.

3. Operators should wear work clothes, helmets, labor protection gloves, dust-proof glasses or face shields before operation.

4. After the engine is started, the operator holds the rear saw handle with his right hand and the front saw handle with his left hand. The angle between the machine and the ground cannot exceed 60°, but the angle should not be too small, otherwise it will be difficult to operate.

5.When cutting, the lower branches should be cut off first, and then the upper branches should be cut. Heavy or large branches should be cut in sections.

How to start a chain saw?

How to start a chain saw. Before starting, you must push the brake plate forward to lock the chain.

(2) Remove the guide plate cover

(3) Press the oil bubble lightly 3 to 5 times to ensure smooth oil passage and help reduce the number of times the starting rope is pulled

(4) When starting the cold engine, close the damper

At the same time, pinch the oil handle and throttle fixing plate

(5) Place the chain saw on a flat ground and ensure that the guide plate and chain do not touch the ground.

(6) Hold the front handle tightly with your left hand, pinch the starting handle with your right hand, and step on the rear handle with the front end of your right foot to secure the chain saw.

(7) Slowly pull up the starting handle until you feel resistance, repeat 3 to 4 times, and let the internal oil circuit of the machine run.

(8) Use a little force to pull up the starter handle until the engine starts successfully, then gently guide the starter handle back to its original position.

(9) The engine may stall immediately, move for a while, or stall immediately when refueling. These are normal.

At this time, open the damper halfway

(10) Repeat steps 7 and 8 and restart

(It is normal for a new machine to experience similar flameouts several times)

Let the chain saw run in with the operator for about 20-30 hours, and the chain saw will stabilize.

(11) After the engine starts and stabilizes, gently press down the throttle grip with your index finger.

(12)Lift the chain saw, but be careful not to touch the accelerator

(13) Use your left hand to pull the brake plate toward your body until you hear a "click" sound, indicating that the car-killing device has been released. If the chain automatically rotates before refueling, adjust the idle speed of the engine at this time (please submit Adjusted by an experienced master)

(14) Point the chain saw at the white paper and increase the throttle. If oil spurts out from the guide plate head, it proves that the chain lubricant is in place.

(15) At this time, you can easily use a chain saw to cut
