Safety precautions warning
When the end of the guide plate/the tip of the guide plate touches an object, or when the wood saw seam is closed and the saw chain is clamped tightly at the saw mouth, the machine body may experience backlash. In some cases, touching the tip of the guide plate can cause a sudden rapid reverse movement, causing the guide plate to rush upwards and back towards the operator. When the end of the guide plate clamps the saw chain, it may quickly push the guide plate back towards the operator, and either of these two recoils may cause you to lose control of the chainsaw and cause serious personal injury. As a chainsaw user, you should take several steps to ensure that there are no accidents or personal injuries during the sawing process:
1. Having a basic understanding of the causes of recoil can help you reduce or eliminate your fear, as sudden shock can often lead to accidents;
2. When the engine is running, hold the chainsaw tightly with both hands, hold the rear handle with the right hand, hold the front handle with the left hand, and tightly grip the saw chain handle with the thumb and other lower fingers. Grasping the chainsaw tightly helps to reduce the occurrence of recoil and maintain control over the chainsaw;
3. Ensure that the area where you are sawing is unobstructed. When operating the chainsaw, do not let the end of the guide plate touch the tree pole or any other obstacles that may be encountered;
4. Sawing work at high engine speed;
5. Do not extend too far or cut tree trunks that exceed the shoulder height;
6. Only substitute guide plates and saw chains or similar components specified by the manufacturer can be used.
