    product description

The hazards of filling a chainsaw with oil
When refueling a chainsaw, some people find it troublesome and often fill it up too much at once, which is not good for the chainsaw itself. There are refueling standards for chainsaws, and the more you add, the better.
After the engine of the chainsaw operates, gasoline will expand due to heat, coupled with mechanical vibration. If the fuel tank is overfilled, gasoline will overflow from the fuel tank cap, which not only wastes fuel but also easily causes a fire. So it can only be filled to about 90% of the fuel tank capacity.
When too much oil is added to the oil pan, the oil will enter the combustion chamber and participate in combustion, which not only increases oil consumption but also easily causes speeding accidents. In addition, excessive oil can increase the motion resistance of the connecting rod and crankshaft, leading to increased power loss. Therefore, the oil in the oil pan should be added between the upper and lower marks on the dipstick.
The oil in the air filter disc of the chainsaw should be added to the marked position. If added too much, the oil will be sucked into the cylinder and participate in combustion, which can easily cause carbon deposition and cause oil flying accidents.
The inner cavity of the chainsaw wheel hub is relatively large, mainly for heat dissipation. If lubricating grease is filled inside the wheel hub when installing rolling bearings, it not only increases the running resistance but also affects the braking efficiency due to the thinning of lubricating grease caused by heat. Therefore, simply apply some lubricating grease on the rolling bearings to maintain "empty hub lubrication".
Filling up a chainsaw with oil can save time, but it can actually have the opposite effect. Remember, finding trouble is often the root cause of trouble.
