    product description

How does a wood planer work
The proper way to use a wood planer involves multiple steps and safety measures to ensure the safety and efficiency of the operation. Here are some key steps and considerations: 12

    Safety preparation:

Ensure that the operating area is spacious and bright, the ground is smooth, the materials are stacked neatly, and the wood chips are cleaned at any time.
Dress appropriately, do not wear wide clothes, do not allow the operation of the machine tool with a tie, scarf, gloves, etc., long hair must wear a safety hat or put the hair up.
Check whether the equipment is normal, point test, idling for 10-15 seconds to ensure that everything is normal before entering the processing state.
    Operating procedures:

Check whether the screws of each part are fastened, whether the protective device is complete, and increase the lubrication grease everywhere.
Check whether the blade of the planer is sharp, and the cutting edge shall not be burned, spoiled, broken, or cracked, and the cutting edge shall be on the same rolling circle without serial movement.
When planing wood, feed speed should be appropriate, do not pull back and forth planing. In the case of inverse wood grain, slow speed should be promoted or turned planing. When planing short and thin wood, it must be pushed with a press plate, and it is forbidden to push directly by hand.
The operator shall not be directly in the direction of rotation of the planer knife and shall avoid it sideways. When the chip is not smooth, it should be stopped to remove, and the wood chips should not be removed directly by hand.
    Special note:

When planing wood with a thickness of less than 1.5CM and a length of less than 30CM, it is necessary to use a pressing plate or a pushing rod.
When encountering knots, slow down the speed of pushing material, and prohibit the hand to push material on the knot. Iron nails, mud, sand, etc. must be removed from the old materials.
Switch off the power or remove the belt when changing the blade. The blade weight and thickness of the same planer must be the same. The rest and the splint must fit. The blade weld exceeds the tool head and the tool with cracks shall not be used.
After the work is finished, cut off the power supply, close the door and lock the box.
Following these steps and precautions can ensure safety and efficiency when using the planer.
