The storage method for chainsaws that are not used for a long time. Reasons for high fuel consumption and troubleshooting methods
Storage methods for chainsaws that are not used for a long time
1. Thoroughly clean the entire chainsaw, especially the cylinder heat sink and air filter of the chainsaw, and wipe the surface of the chainsaw with an oily cloth.
2. Place a chainsaw in a ventilated area to empty the fuel tank and clean it.
3. Dry the chainsaw carburetor, otherwise the pump film of the chainsaw carburetor will stick, affecting the next startup.
4. Empty the fuel in the fuel tank of the chainsaw, then start the chainsaw engine and let it work until it starts
Turn off the engine.
5. Remove the saw chain and guide plate of the chainsaw, clean and inspect them, and spray protective oil.
6. Fill the lubrication oil tank of the chainsaw chain.
7. Remove the chainsaw spark plug and pour a small amount of engine oil into the cylinder. Pull the starting rope with a chainsaw to start the engine
After 2-3 cycles, install the spark plug of the chainsaw and pull the starting rope of the chainsaw again to stop it in a strong and comfortable position
Position (compression top dead center).
8. Place the chainsaw engine in a dry and well ventilated location, away from heat sources or open flames.
9. Keep the chainsaw in a dry and safe place to prevent unauthorized personnel from using it (such as children).
10. If the chainsaw is not used for a long time, wash the chainsaw chain with a brush and place it in the oil tank for storage.
The maintenance of a chainsaw during use is directly related to its service life.
Reasons and troubleshooting methods for high fuel consumption
1. Carburetor oil leakage
The causes and troubleshooting methods of oil leakage can be found earlier.
2. Partial blockage of air flow holes in each oil system
Reason: Partial blockage of the air flow holes in each oil system can cause the carburetor to supply richer fuel, leading to an increase in fuel consumption.
Exclusion method: Clean according to the aforementioned carburetor cleaning method.
3. The enrichment device is not tightly closed when starting
The reasons and troubleshooting methods for the lax shutdown of the starting and thickening device can be found earlier.
4. The outer diameter of the main oil needle is reduced due to wear, and the main nozzle hole is worn excessively
Reason: The above components have been worn out due to long-term high-speed erosion by impurities contained in gasoline during use, resulting in a decrease in the outer diameter of the main oil needle and an oversized main nozzle hole, leading to an increase in fuel supply and an increase in fuel consumption.
Troubleshooting method: Replace the measuring hole with a new one.
